Reasons For Choosing A Business Administration - 861 Words

One of the main reasons I chose to major in business administration, was that in the future I would use the skills I learned in school and open up my own business. Before this project I wasn’t too sure what options were out there. After doing research and from what I learned in class; I can either start my own business, purchase a franchise or become an independent/ consultant, which I would need some expertise for this option. I choose to purchase a franchise as opposed to starting my own business from scratch because I am not too sure in what direction or industry that business would be. The reason I choose to go with a franchise was because it is an already established product or service. The franchise I would like to open is a Wing Stop. Franchising is when a franchiser such as Wing Stop allows me, a franchisee, to pay it a fee and pay a share of the profit for using Wing Stop’s brand name and a package of material and services. Advantages of opening a franchise a s opposed to a brand new business is that, in a new business you have to figure out everything on your own, which basically means researching what is the service or product you are going to offer, is there a need that your product or service can satisfy. Once that is figured out the next step is to create a business plan, this helps your business have a vision or goal to aim for, and in order to get a bank to loan you money, a plan is necessary.
